THURSDAY NIGHT BUFFET DINNER

The official opening of the Convention was at the Thursday night Welcome Buffet Dinner. The dinner is open to all registered convention attendees.
One of the highlights in 2011 was the "roll call" of societies represented. Member of 59 societies from around the world were present. In addition to artists residing in the United States, artists from Canada, Chile, Scotland and Australia were present. As the society names were called, their member artists waved and cheered with great enthusiasm.
POSTER CONTEST WINNER
The winning image for the IAPS 2011 Convention Poster was announced at the Buffet dinner. Karen Margulis' image, Blue Skies Ahead, was selected for the poster.
