KEYNOTE SPEAKER: KATE HERSEY, UNISON PASTELS
Kate Hersey traveled from her home and the home of Unison Pastels in Northumberland, near the border between England and Scotland, to speak at the IAPS convention.
She shared the history of the pastels created by her late husband John Hersey, and how
his vision led to a family business focusing on creating beautiful handmade pastels
for artists everywhere.
The Golden Mentor Awards are presented to individuals who have supported IAPS
and as a result assisted with the promotion of pastel and pastel artists.

Mary Ann Broddrick, IAPS Master Circle Chair;
Liz Haywood-Sullivan, IAPS Vice President;
Jamie Markle, F&W Media, Publisher of The Pastel Journal;
and Urania Christy Tarbet, IAPS Founder and President Emeritus.
