Welcome to the 36th IAPS Juried Exhibition, hosted at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center, Dunedin, Florida! On behalf of the IAPS Board and our event volunteers, we are honored to present some of the finest in pastel art in the world. | |
The show runs from April 1 through May 10, 2020. Due to the corona virus pandemic, we have canceled in-person activities surrounding and supporting the exhibition. The April 18, 2020 reception with awards ceremony, gallery tours and demonstrations, was canceled. As disappointing as this is, the paramount concern of IAPS is on the health and wellbeing of everyone involved. | The 36th Exhibition includes 89 pastels from artists in six countries, representing 36 member IAPS societies. The accepted entries have been hung and will be on display throughout the show dates; however, the gallery will be open for visitors on a limited basis as local laws and restrictions allow. |
We hope you will enjoy the rich content of all of the subjects within this page. There are images, videos with interviews and comments and descriptions. THE CATALOG is now available - an expanded view of the 36th Juried Exhibition with notes from the jurors and judge, our President and so much more. See the button at lower left. |

We asked the members of the selection jury to each choose a few paintings that they had special feelings about and to record some of those comments for you. Join Richard McKinley as he conducts these brief interviews. |

Richard McKinley had the pleasure of sitting down with Sabrina Hill, President of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, to conduct a Virtual Gallery Walkthrough of the IAPS 36th Juried Exhibition. The theme of the discussion was the diversity of pastel and how the medium is being utilized in an array of expressive ways from traditional schools of representationalism to some very avant-garde/modern applications. Thirty-six paintings in the exhibition were chosen. |
