Here’s how to stay connected and make sure your society’s news reaches the wider pastel community.
Join the conversation on Facebook
The IAPS Facebook Group is the most active place for member societies to connect. It’s where members across regions can see what’s happening in other societies around the world. If your society has an upcoming exhibition, a workshop, a plein air event, or member news worth celebrating, post it to the group, or send it to us and we’ll share it.
One thing that keeps this group useful: posts should connect back to IAPS or an IAPS member society. That’s not a restriction, rather it’s what makes the group different from every other art page on Facebook. Members come to the group to see what’s happening throughout the IAPS community. Keeping posts connected to IAPS and its member societies helps the group stay useful and relevant.
Follow IAPS on Instagram and Facebook
Our Facebook Page (@IAPSpastel) and Instagram (@iaps_pastel) carry IAPS announcements, exhibition highlights, award-winner spotlights, grant updates, and educational content from our YouTube channel. Following both is an easy way to keep up with IAPS news and programs. We also try to share member society information across these channels as we can.

Social media is a great way to stay connected, but email is the best way to make sure you don’t miss IAPS news. The IAPS newsletter goes out monthly with exhibition updates, grant announcements, educational content, and news from across the society network.

We want to feature your work. Send us:
- Upcoming exhibitions and calls for entry
- Workshops and demos hosted by your society
- Plein air events and paint-outs
- Member achievements and milestones
- Photos from your events (with permission to share)
All content should be connected to an IAPS member society. While we can’t feature individual promotions or unrelated events, we’re happy to share news from our member societies. Share your news through the Facebook Group or email us at contact@iapspastel.org.
