Eminent Pastelist Honor

IAPS

Eminent Pastelist

The Eminent Pastelist honor has been designed to recognize those artists who have continued to have work accepted and/or awarded in IAPS juried competitions after achieving Master Circle level. The Eminent Pastelist category was established in the spring of 2012. Recipients of the award receive a new ribbon for their Master Circle medallion and a golden lapel pin with an inset ruby gem.

To receive the Eminent Pastelist designation, artists must accrue five (5) points to achieve Master Circle status; and then for Eminent Pastelist, another 10 points for a total of fifteen (15) points are needed.

Honor Points

Points may be obtained as follows:

Only IAPS Juried Exhibitions accrue points; acceptance or awards in a member society’s exhibition does not count towards Master Circle or Eminent Pastelist status. Other eligible IAPS competitions have in the past included IAPS Convention Catalogue Cover Contests, the 2009 Calendar competition and the 2011 Poster Competition.

Recipients of the Eminent Pastelist honor are encouraged to bring it and their Master Circle Medallion with them to each convention to be worn at the Saturday Night Banquet.
