Winners of The 2026 IAPS Global Society Grants

These four Societies were each awarded $1000.

  • PASTEL SOCIETY ALASKA
The Alaska Pastel Society held Art for the Heart. Twenty painters from Alaska who had never used pastels were invited to try them and receive some instruction.  It was a way to fill their hearts with beauty and creativity.
  • PASTEL SOCIETY OF THE SOUTH WEST
The Pastel Society of the South West’s mission was to educate people about pastel and to draw attention to the endangered Warbler.  This project not only brought that attention, but their society increased in participation and volunteerism.
  • PASTEL SOCIETY OF PAKISTAN
The Pastel Society of Pakistan’s mission was to reach and educate emerging artists, art students, and seasoned professionals, building a stronger and more connected pastel community.  The IAPS grant helped the society hold a large scale event that was not previously possible.
  • PASTEL SOCIETY OF NEW MEXICO
The Pastel Society of New Mexico’s goal was to introduce the incredible medium of pastels to outlying communities in New Mexico.  Four community libraries were chosen to help coordinate the effort.  Each held an exhibition and opening reception, “The Magic of Pastel”.
