IAPS’s commitment to expanded educational programming for 2027 and beyond builds on resources already available on the IAPS YouTube channel. The channel features demonstrations, interviews, presentations, and instructional programs. Artists can access these programs from anywhere, at any time.
Walk the 2026 PastelWorld Exhibition
The newest additions to our library are the 2026 PastelWorld gallery walkthroughs. Six accomplished pastel artists walk the exhibition and share their observations about the work: Clint Howard, Richard McKinley, Colette Odya Smith, Loriann Signori, W. Truman Hosner, and Sylvie Poirson.
If you could not attend the 2026 Convention in Albuquerque, this is a great way to experience a piece of being there. If you saw the exhibition in person, it is a chance to experience it again through another artist’s perspective.
The Practical Side of Participation
The library also includes practical videos on photographing your artwork, shipping and framing, and the ASTM pastel standard. The photography video is a good place to start before preparing your next exhibition entry.
Learn from IAPS Judges
The library includes judging notes from Lyn Diefenbach on the Spring 2025 online show, and Richard McKinley’s recorded conversations with exhibiting artists from past IAPS exhibitions. If you are entering the Fall Online Exhibition this season, judging discussions can help artists understand what experienced jurors notice and consider.
