  • PHILIPPINES PASTEL PAINTERS
The Philippines Pastel Artists, Inc is hosting two-session pastel workshop for the members of the Special Program for the Arts of the ‘Neptali A. Gonzales’ Public High Schools. This outreach activity provides young artists in the Philippines a chance to embrace the wonderful medium of pastel.
  • ARKANSAS PASTEL SOCIETY
The Arkansas Pastel Society will partner with the Seis Puentes Center (Six Bridges), a non-profit organization in North Little Rock Arkansas (www.facebook.com/seispuentes/) to teach the art of pastel painting to an underserved community of Hispanic women, who are mostly from an immigrant population that has little command of English and suffers both physical and emotional isolation. Two-hour classes will be held once a week for six weeks from September 12th to October 17th, 2023. At the completion of the classes, the Arkansas Pastel Society will sponsor a show and reception for the artists to celebrate their work with friends, family and the general public.
  • PASTEL SOCIETY OF NEW JERSEY
The Pastel Society of New Jersey will provide a 4-week pastel workshop for seniors and teens at the local community center. During the program teens and seniors will be brought together fostering connections cross generationally while learning about the pastel medium. Participants will be provided with their own pastels so they can continue to develop their joy of the medium. At the end of the workshop participants’ artwork will be displayed at the center along with an artist’s reception.
